Blue Baht Bus

If you've been to Pattaya, you'll be familiar with the dark blue baht buses that run 24/7 in the central locations. Otherwise referred to as a sorngthaew (2 rows), a baht bus is a pickup truck transformed to hold 10 passengers on two bench seats.

There's a baht bus every number of minutes throughout the day and until the nightlife winds down, around 3 am. The fare is 10 baht for any of the conventional courses in the Pattaya area. You can also lease a baht bus as a taxi, if you need to take a trip off the regular course. Make sure to work out the fare before you climb up in the back!

Lots of visitors do not venture far from Pattaya's central area, since if you're below for the beach, the terrific food and the night life, there's plenty to keep you captivated simply steps away from your hotel. If you should take a trip further away from town, there are a number of various other baht bus paths you might find beneficial.

White Baht Bus

There's the white baht buses that travel up and down Sukhumvit, the arterial road, that runs all the way from Bangkok to Pattaya, and south to Sattahip, then eastern along the coast. The white baht buses travel from Naklua at the northern end of Pattaya City to Sattahip in the South, home of the Thai Navy.

There's lots of locations worth checking out along Sukhumvit If you want to see an outlet mall along Sukhumvit, or one of the tourist attractions, like Underwater World Pattaya, then get on a white baht bus, and ring the bell when it's time to obtain off!

You can also check out a few of the beautiful beaches along the coastline, southern of Jomtien. There's Bang Sare, the fishing village and beach resort, with peaceful beaches where you can delight in freshly caught sea meals at one of the Sea Food dining establishments right alongside the beach.

From here you can check out the Koh Khram, an uninhabited island, with gorgeous white sand beaches and excellent coral reefs, a terrific location for snorkeling lovers.

Red Baht Bus

The Red baht buses travel along east-west along Soi Nern Plub Wan, starting from Sukhumvit then to Soi Siam Country club. This is where you'll discover fresh grocery store, an abundance of road food stands, the Siriporn Orchid Farm and a spectacular Temple, Wat Suttawat. The east side of Sukhumvit is the suburban area referred to as the Dark side. There's great deals of places of interest here like the Crocodile farm, the Elephant town, Pattaya Floating Market, Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens and Mini Siam, that has replicas of 100 sacred places and historical sites in Thailand.
